I was invited back by the Cadence crew to capture their live performance in the Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin. Unlike other musical performances I was blessed with the opportunity of shooting I left this one feeling empty, not because of a poor story or poor acting... but because the songs weren't available on Spotify for me to listen to while editing!
Cadence had a great balance of sombre emotional moments and funny moments with that classic feel of Irish dry humour, it really spoke to anyone in the audience who had done their Leaving Cert, addressing that dreaded universal experience of juggling a social and academic life whilst also trying to figure out what it is you want to do for the rest of your life.
Well done to writer and director Brian Dalton (bdalton_music), producer Emma Thornton (ejmt_productions) and everyone else involved in the production of this musical.
